From Ujjain to New York: The Story Behind PujaAtHome
Bringing the blessings of home closer, wherever you are.
For Reyancy, spirituality has always been a part of who she is. Growing up in Ujjain, the sacred city of Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, she was immersed in Hindu traditions, Vedic rituals, and a culture where faith is woven into everyday life. Her mother’s spiritual journey and her family’s association with Khatu Shyam Mandir further deepened her connection to these traditions.
Years later, while living in New York City, Reyancy experienced how challenging it could be to stay connected to these practices far from home. Whether arranging a Lakshmi Puja, a Navchandi Path, a havan, or a Griha Pravesh ceremony to bless a new home, finding an experienced Pandit to perform these sacred rituals was not always easy.
She realised that many Indian families living abroad shared the same challenge: the desire to honour their traditions and seek blessings on important occasions, without always having access to experienced Vedic Pandits.
This experience sparked a simple yet meaningful thought: What if distance never had to come between people and their faith?
That thought became the inspiration behind PujaAtHome.
