🪷 Shri Govardhan Puja & Annakut Mahotsav: Complete Preparation Guide
⏱️ Puja Duration: Approximately 40 minutes
🐮 Govardhan Puja Vidhi & Parikrama Guidelines
Shape the Govardhan Hill and Giriraj Ji from pure cow dung in a reclining human form, with a clay diya/kulhad placed at the navel.
- ✅ Naabhi Doodh Arpan: During puja, offer fresh raw cow milk, batasha, akshat and Gangajal into the kulhad placed at Govardhan’s navel.
- ✅ Annakut Offering: Mix all seasonal vegetables into a special Panchmel Sabzi (no onion-garlic), along with Kadhi-rice, Bajra roti and poori, then offer to Lord Krishna with Tulsi leaves.
- ✅ Parikrama Vidhi: After Aarti, circle Govardhan Ji 7 times while pouring a stream of water and scattering Kheel-Batashe, singing devotional bhajans.
- ✅ Gau Puja: Bathe the cow, apply a Roli-Haldi tilak, decorate her horns with oil/Geru, garland her, and feed her jaggery-roti and green fodder before touching her feet for blessings.

🙏 Dakshina & Gratuity Policy
Dakshina (traditional priest’s offering) and any gratuity/tips from the customer go directly to the Pandit. PujaAtHome does not take any share of Dakshina — it is separate from the operational pricing above.
- Dakshina is a voluntary, sacred tradition — it is between the devotee and the Pandit.
- If customers feel happy with the Pandit’s conduct and the quality of the puja, they may offer Dakshina directly.
- Suggested Dakshina guidance: $11 – $101, or as per the devotee’s wish.

⭐ Special Note for Govardhan Puja
All food prepared at home on Govardhan Puja day should be completely sattvic (strictly no onion, no garlic), and Tulsi leaves must be included when offering Bhog to Lord Shri Krishna.
