Dakshina (traditional priest’s offering) and any gratuity/tips from the customer go directly to the Pandit. PujaAtHome does not take any share of Dakshina – it is separate from the operational pricing above.
- Dakshina is a voluntary, sacred tradition – it is between the devotee and the Pandit.
- If customers feel happy with the Pandit’s conduct and the quality of the puja, they may offer Dakshina directly.

Maa Mahagauri is worshipped with white or red flowers, and Kheer, coconut and Halwa-Poori are her most cherished Bhog. Kanya Pujan (girls aged 2-10, plus one Langur/Bhairav boy) is considered essential on this day, and their meal must be prepared completely sattvic.
